Online Wellness Initiatives
Reid Hospital has partnered with ManageWell™ to offer an online platform to encourage healthy habits and incentivize employees to sustain healthy behavior. By completing wellness screenings and participating in wellness events/programs you can earn incentives. This easy to access portal is your one stop spot for wellness.
To join ManageWell™ visit the website @ www.managewell.com. A link to this site is located on the Reid Intranet site. When signing up for the program, you will need to enter your unique employer-ID & date of birth. If you do not have your unique employer-ID, contact the Wellness Department @ ext. 3230.
Tobacco Cessation Options
Quitting Tobacco is hard. You may have tried to quit several times before- two, three, four or more times-and you’re still hooked. Don’t give up! The Tobacco Quitline can help and here’s how:
- The Tobacco Quitline has trained dedicated Quit Coaches® who have helped hundreds of people quit using tobacco. A Quit Coach® will guide you through the process of quitting.
- Your coach will help you make a quit plan, just for you
- Your plan will include counseling sessions and a quit kit
- Your coach will also give you tips to help with your cravings, avoid weight gain and find ways to change your daily activities that trigger smoking.

Answer a series of questions about your smoking history and readiness to quit, and we'll give you tools and information to help prepare you to quit and stay quit. The plan allows you to:
- Progress at your own pace
- Create personalized Quit Tools to meet your needs
- Receive regularly scheduled e-mails to keep you motivated and on the path to success
If you want to quit smoking for a smoke-free future, this is the program for you!
To access My Smoke-Free Future, please log-in to your ManageWell account. On the right hand side of the page under the Mayo Clinic logo, select My Smoke Free Future.
By simply walking, it has been shown to cut your risk for heart disease, obesity, high blood pressure and many other health conditions. That’s why we are challenging you to walk more and more steps everyday through the Fitbit Challenges. The Fitbit Challenges are a series of physical activity programs that involve the use of a pedometer, the Fitbit Zip, to keep you motivated. The Fitbit Zip pedometer keeps track of your steps taken, calories burned and distance traveled. Your Fitbit Zip is able to sync with your ManageWell account so you can have all your wellness data in one place.
If you don’t have a Fitbit Zip, we will announce a couple of registration dates throughout the year so you can purchase one. Also, if you participate in the Fitbit Challenges you have the opportunity to earn great incentives!
